Born on 28 August 1965 in Kluczbork, where he have been living
since 1982. Married, has two children – a son Michał and a daughter –
In 1989, graduated from Master degree in Physical Education. He
completed his education with post graduated certificates: in sport
organization and management (Poznań University) and in organisation and
management in education sector. He is professional certified sport
manager and 2nd class qualified football coach.
For 13 years he has worked as a teacher in the High School in
Kluczbork. In 2003 , was chosen as the Head of the Sport and Recreation
Center in Kluczbork which, thanks to his engagement, was renovated and
became a modern and significant institution in the context of the local
community life development.
The sport, especially football has always been his greatest passion.
Since launching in 2003 the sport club “MKS Kluczbork”, he has been
involved in all its actions playing a role of the head of the club
board. That was the most successful period of the MKS history and local
football. In 2009 the Kluczbork team was promoted to the 1st league and
completed his first season in 6th position.
In 2006 he was elected as a regional parliament member of Opolskie
Voivodship where he was Head of the Regional Policy, Economics and
Tourism Commission. In 2007 he was elected as a deputy of National
Parliament representing the Civic Platform party. Within the Parliament
of 6th and 7th term, he was a member of education, science and youth
commission as well as of physical education, sport and tourism
commission and legislation commission. In November 2013 he was
appointed as the Marshall of the Opolskie Voivodeship. In 2014 he was
elected as a member of the regional parliament and was re-appointed as
the Marshall of Opolskie Region.
He proceeds according to the motto “thing about people” –and he adds
that thanks to the people that walked into his life, he could achieved
so much. He is able to listen, to discuss and to share.

Born in 1959 in Nysa, married, two children. He is graduated
Academy of Agriculture in Wrocław (faculty of animal husbandry) and
completed post graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Services at
Wroclaw University of Economics. He owns a farm and used to be a
chairman of the Chamber of Agriculture in Opole.
In the period 2002 to 2010 he was plenipotentiary representative of the
Chairman of the National Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of
the Agriculture, Director of the regional unit of Opole. From 2002 to
2006 he was also a member of the regional parliament of the Opolskie
Voivodeship. As a member of the Regional Board, he is charged with the
rural development, agriculture and Rural Area Development Program. In
the term 2014-2018 he is a member of the regional parliament of

Was born in 1962 in Tarnowskie Góry (Silesia Voievodeship) but
from the early childhood associated with the Opolskie Voivodeship. He
has been living in Jemielnica, married, one child - a daughter. In 1987
Roman Kolek was graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in
Katowice at the Faculty of Medicine in Zabrze. He continued the studies
at post-graduate studies in the organisation and management of health
care. He acquired experience of management in health care and self –
He was working in health care institution (ZOZ) in Strzelce Opolskie –
at first as an intern, then as an anesthesiologist and then as a deputy
of head of the hospital department. In 1999-2002 was a head of the
Department of Health and Social Care in Marshall Office of Opolskie
In 2002 he became Assistant Director of the Opole Regional Medical
Health Insurance Committee and since the launching of the National
Health Fund he has assumed the role of the Director of National Health
Fund – regional unit in Opole. In the period 1999-2002 was elected as a
member the Council of Strzelce Opolskie County and between 2003 and
2004 was a member of the regional parliament. Since 2005 Roman Kolek
has been working as a lecturer of post-graduate study of the
Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmaceutical Marketing and Law at Business School
of the Warsaw University of Technology responsible for monitoring and
funding of medicaments reimbursement.
Since October 2007, in cooperation with professor Valeria Hryniewicz
responsible for the National Program of Protection Efficiency Program
he has been leading the Rationalisation Antibiotics Therapy Program in
primary health care. He participated in many international conferences
on the activities for limiting the spread of the infection and
decreasing the level of consumption the antibiotics in Europe.
In December 2009 he started work on a doctoral degree (PhD studies) in
medical science on „Rationalisation of antibiotic therapy in primary
health care in the Opolskie Voivodeship - the effects of the activities
carried out in 2006-2009 "- on the Faculty of Medicine, Medical
University of Silesia. He’s also author and co-author of many
publications on public health and health care financing system. Was
awarded the honorary distinction "Merits for the Opole Voivodeship”. He
is interested in sports and tourism - especially volleyball, table
tennis and alpine skiing.
In the Regional Board Roman Kolek is charged with the health and social
policy, information society development as well as geodesy and real
estate management. In the period 2014-2018 he is a member of the

He is 36 years old, born in Blachownia (near Częstochowa), since 1998
has lived in Opole.
Studied political sciences at the Opole University, specialization of
self-governmental, constitutional and European issues specialization.
He has worked, amongst others, in CTC Poland, where was working on
European projects PHARE “Promotion of employment and development of
human resources in the Opolskie Voivodeship” and “ Your modern company”
and “Your company – Your future” (within Integrated Program of Regional
Development). Since January 2008 till November 2015 he has been
director of the Cabinet of the Governor of the Opolskie Voivodeship. In
the same time he has been a member of the Voivodeship Committee of
Social Dialogue, Voivodeship Team of Crisis Management, Voivodeship
Committee of Protection of Memory about Fights and Martyrdom. He has
also been a Governor Plenipotentiary for Polish Presidency at EU
Council. He has also been a Vice Chairman of the Council of the Opole
Section of Voivodeship’s National Fund of Health Protection in former
Member of the City Council of Opole of VI and VII cadency,
Chairman of the Committee of Education and Culture of the Council of
the City and working committee for statutory changes. In the beginning
of VII cadency – President of the Council of the Opole City.
He is interested in political marketing and nowadays history, favorite
forms of spending free time is cycling and cinema.
In the Board of the Voivodeship he is responsible for matters
considering regional policy, infrastructure and economy.

He graduated from Superior School of Engineering in Opole and
Agricultural Academy in Wrocław. He used to be a member of the Opolskie
parliament for 3rd and 4th parliamentary terms (in the period 2010-2014
appointed as a vice president of the regional parliament).
He is an expert on renewable energy sources, innovation economy as well
as on EU funds. He promotes environmental protection and ecology. In
the period 2007-2010 he was a member of the Regional Council for
Environment Protection. In 2008 he was appointed by the Marshall of the
Opolskie as a member of the counselling body charged of renewal energy.
Since 2011 he has been a member of the counselling team charged with
renewable energies sources within Ministry of Agriculture. Since August
2014 he has been Head of outside the local Office of the The Wałbrzych
Special Economic Zone „INVEST-PARK”.
He is also an active promoter of local sport, cooperating with the
dirt-track club “Kolejarz Opole”, where he has a significant role to
play in supporting the Board.
